A New Crusade

From the November 1968 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The logic of events is showing that unless we are willing to give up old thought patterns and behavior and allow fresh and vital ideas to flow into consciousness, we will be hopelessly behind the times in a progressively unfolding universe. Old beliefs must be replaced with new concepts, for the old have proved inadequate to solve the problems of a changing world.

Obviously the human mind is being stirred as it never has been stirred before. It is demanding freedom, reacting against tyranny of any sort. People sense that a change of base is evolving, with results that they cannot foresee. Either they will arrive at ultimate chaos, or they will see the dawn of a new and wonderful harmony and peace.

This is a revolutionary period, and the revolution can be joyous, accomplishing good for the whole human race. The true way leads through demonstration of goodwill toward all men and from this base to peace on earth.
