Frequently a student of Christian Science is asked, "Can I be healed through Christian Science treatment if I know nothing about this religion?" I can truly answer Yes, for I was healed instantaneously of peptic and duodenal ulcers from which I had suffered thirteen years. During this time I lived on a diet of milk and very bland strained food, and was under constant medication and medical supervision. In spite of careful adherence to medical law, I was in almost constant pain.
Transfer of my husband to another state placed us in a new community, where we came upon a Christian Science church. Out of what I then thought was mere intellectual curiosity, my daughter and I decided to attend a service the following Sunday. I had been a regular attendant of an orthodox church since early childhood.
I did not understand much of the service, but I still remember the warm sense of Love that enveloped me at the time, the comforting presence of the Christ. Attendance at that church was continued, for my daughter and I both wanted to learn more of what it was we felt there.
