I would like to express my gratitude for the priceless gift of Christian Science that Mrs. Eddy has left to us. I was reared in the Christian Science Sunday School, starting at the age of two, and have since joined The Mother Church and a branch church. I have received many blessings through working prayerfully with the truth taught in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. In rearing a family of three active children, I find Christian Science invaluable.
One healing I should like to tell about is that of a broken anklebone. Several years ago I was in an automobile accident. I was the driver of the car and had several passengers. When I had the passengers all settled and home again, I realized I must take care of myself. My face was bleeding from a large cut above my eye, and my leg from my knee to my toes was so swollen that my shoe had to be cut off.
A practitioner was called and went to work to help me through prayer. I worked with this verse from the Bible (Matt. 5: 48): "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect," and with this statement on page 393 of the textbook, Science and Health: "Have no fear that matter can ache, swell, and be inflamed as the result of a law of any kind, when it is self-evident that matter can have no pain nor inflammation."
