Christian Science has met my every need throughout a successful career in public service.
During the flu epidemic in 1918, I was sent home from school by the school doctor, who said that I had all the symptoms of this disease. A Christian Science practitioner gave me treatment. At the end of the week I was able to return to school, to the amazement of the doctor who had sent me home.
During a required medical examination to enter a public normal college, the doctor recommended that I use iodized salt for a condition of goiter. I called a Christian Science practitioner for help. With two visits to his office, and the fulfillment of the assignment that I choose one chapter of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to read and study, this condition was completely healed. When I was reexamined by the same doctor two years later, the healing was acknowledged and my record was cleared. The healing has been permanent.
