SUNDAY SCHOOL

Discoveries in Teaching

From the June 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

You have sung the first hymn. The Golden Text and Responsive Reading are over. Silent prayer has been followed by the Lord's Prayer. The superintendent has announced the beginning of the instruction period. And here you are. Face to face with your class.

What now?

The more complete your preparation, the less need there will be to make a big adjustment when you arrive at Sunday School. Basic preparation that includes prayer for yourself will make it seem natural to be with the children or young people. You will find that you are already functioning as a teacher even before the class begins: eager, alert, specifically inspired, and really with your pupils.
