A Priceless Pearl

From the May 1973 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In one of his many parables, Christ Jesus compared heaven to a priceless pearl. He said, "The kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it."Matt. 13:45, 46

In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes that "heaven is not a locality, but a divine state of Mind in which all the manifestations of Mind are harmonious and immortal, because sin is not there and man is found having no righteousness of his own, but in possession of 'the mind of the Lord,' as the Scripture says."Science and Health, p. 291

This priceless pearl of spiritual dominion, then, is the reflection of absolute harmony, the spiritual perception that there is but one presence and power, one substance and life, that is, God, infinite Spirit, divine Mind.
