People are making progress. This is true regardless of what the noisy and destructive world of Goliath—physical sense—claims it will do.
As related in the Bible, when David, the shepherd boy, told King Saul he would face the Philistine giant Goliath in combat, Saul equipped David with his own armor. David put these aside, and taking only his shepherd's staff and sling and a few smooth stones from the nearby brook, he ran to meet the giant. He knew that the power of God would enable him to destroy the enemy, and he proceeded to prove it. Relying on God, he used his familiar sling and a stone and with unerring aim slew the giant.
Centuries later, Paul stated the same truth of spiritual power when he said, "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds."II Cor. 10:4
