Christian Science has been a miracle in my life. It is with great humility and relief that I here recount a few of the blessings that have come to me from my study of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
As a child, I was sickly, unable to go out into the winter winds to play as other children did. However, after reading Science and Health with curiosity—though not very regularly, for I was only a youngster when I found the book and no one of my family was then interested in it—I started to put on a little weight. Color came to my face, and the severity of the colds, earache, and such complications that accompanied exposure to inclement weather grew less. With each victory I was more determined to find the key to end the suffering. After one whole night of declaring the truth that God is All, a fever from which I was suffering was much less severe, but quite a few years passed before susceptibility to fever was entirely conquered. Finally the recurring difficulty gave way to the truth, and I no longer had any periods of fever.
I have witnessed the healing in my family of a burst appendix, with no material aid other than bed rest, through the prayerful treatment of an experienced Christian Science practitioner.
