Our family has had many remarkable demonstrations of Truth. The first big healing was my mother's healing when the diagnosis of five doctors was that she could not live more than two months. X rays showed both lungs too far gone for any possible treatment. She was healed in Christian Science, and her testimony was in the Christian Science Sentinel of January 26, 1957.
I would like to add that she lived forty-three years after her healing, and was so strong that she could shop all day and afterward take care of her grandchildren until midnight without fatigue. She never had an illness that lasted more than a few hours, because Christian Science healed her quickly; and when she passed on, she had no illness of any kind, and the examining physician (who is required by law when there is sudden decease) said she had no evidence of disease. Mother was supple and active, straight, light-footed, drove her own car, managed her apartment house, was chairman of committees, and looked younger during her last ten years. After thirty years of using glasses she did not need them.
Two years ago while on a long cruise, I broke my wrist. At the time it was inconvenient to have it set, and I neglected the condition, thinking that if it grew the wrong way, I could have it reset later on. There was no pain or trouble until after I reached home several months later.
