Over What Does Man Have Dominion?

From the January 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal

All that is included in God is perfect. Perfect God as cause, or infinite Principle, includes perfect effect, or man. Christian Science assures us that in God and in His total spiritual creation there is nothing imperfect—nothing opposed to, or inconsistent with, God.

In Genesis we read, concerning man made in the image and likeness of God, "Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
Gen. 1:26; Speaking of man, the Psalmist declared, "Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet."
Ps. 8:6;

When we scientifically understand man's dominion, reflected of God, it enables us to utilize and enjoy all that God has made. We see that man reflects God's supreme authority over all that is included in His creation and what God creates and authorizes is exclusively perfect.
