One subscribing for the Herald can read, in the language of that edition or in the English translation, articles that are prepared for a particular part of the world. What a wonderful opportunity this is to support prayerfully, specifically, the mission of the Herald! Mrs. Eddy expected the teachings of Christian Science to encircle the globe. Her intention was evident in the first issue of the Monitor, where she described the Herald's role "to proclaim the universal activity and availability of Truth."The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 353. Each of us can play a vital part in forwarding this universal mission of the Heralds.
Regular reading of the Herald in its various editions can open one's thought to the broader applications of Christian Science and expand one's concept of himself as a Christian Scientist working for the world. It can also give one a deeper understanding of the needs and the viewpoint of people of a particular language field, providing avenues through which the Love that heals can be expressed.
Such metaphysical work is a way of identifying oneself as the image of Love, which the real man is, and such identification is real healing activity.
