Moral Courage Aids Healing

From the July 1975 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Just what is moral courage?

Fundamentally it is integrity maintained regardless of the cost. It is the quality that compels a person to put aside selfish expediency and express the ethical, honest, and virtuous. Not merely lack of wrongdoing, but brave, active espousal of right, characterizes it. Neither stuffy nor restrictive, moral courage frees, enabling one to live fearlessly. Without it no healthy society can exist. Mrs. Eddy tells us: "Honesty is spiritual power. Dishonesty is human weakness, which forfeits divine help."Science and Health, p. 453;

Habitual moral courage fosters a climate where Christian Science healing occurs; truthfulness is basic to both.
