Man's Life—Never Lost

From the November 1976 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is impossible to lose a loved one!

Does anyone who has "lost" his nearest and dearest through death think this assertion is too ethereal? To one struggling with grief, does it seem a cruel twisting of reality to say that one cannot "lose" one's husband, wife, child, or others dear to him? Is it verbal mockery? No, not if the master Christian's teachings are true. And they are true, for he proved everything he taught —proof which culminated in his own triumph over crucifixion, death, and the rock-sealed tomb.

Neither life nor love can be buried, or reduced to ashes of oblivion. Christian Science teaches, as did the Master, that God is Spirit, Life, the only Life, infinite and eternal, and that man coexists in timeless continuity with God, his creator. Man is not material. Held forever as a complete idea within the one all-knowing Mind, God, man is the spiritual emanation of Life itself.
