What a rewarding work it is to introduce a newcomer to Christian Science! Yet how many of us shrink from approaching others. Procrastination, self-justification, and self-interest would hold us back with a variety of excuses.
Jesus' directive "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15; has often given me food for thought. How can we be obedient to this instruction, and how do we go about it?
Mrs. Eddy writes: "Millions of unprejudiced minds—simple seekers for Truth, weary wanderers, athirst in the desert—are waiting and watching for rest and drink. Give them a cup of cold water in Christ's name, and never fear the consequences." Science and Health, p. 570. Surely if there are millions seeking Truth we can justifiably expect to find a genuine inquirer regularly, even each day.
