Although I had enjoyed attending the Christian Science Sunday School and had some lovely healings, I drifted from Science after my marriage.
When our third child was born and passed on after only a week, I was deeply depressed and came close to a nervous breakdown. It was then I saw the truth in these words from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 322): "The sharp experiences of belief in the supposititious life of matter, as well as our disappointments and ceaseless woes, turn us like tired children to the arms of divine Love. Then we begin to learn Life in divine Science."
I visited a Christian Science practitioner, who helped me very much, and I began a sincere study of Mrs. Eddy's writings with a desire to understand God better. Gradually my outlook improved.
