"Though it tarry, wait for it"

Habakkuk 2:3

From the July 1982 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It will surely come—
the reconciliation.
Meanwhile
I will work.

It will surely come—
the healing.
Meanwhile
I'll not shirk
the prayer
the rising higher
the courageous walk
through cleansing fire.

It will surely come—
fruition—
and no mortal quirk
can act as an obstruction
to the plan unfolding
as I loose the rigid outline
I've been holding.

It will surely come—
release
from the burden
that I think I carry.

It will surely come.
It will not tarry.
