A visible Church

From the March 1985 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The opportunity every church member has to bring Christian Science more visibly to the public eye is a magnificent privilege. As we stand steadfastly for the understanding of God we have both discerned and demonstrated, something of profound implication for humanity is happening. We are fulfilling our part in helping mankind see the power and presence of God.

Christian Science reveals God to be Truth, Life, and Love. And our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes: "Truth, Life, and Love are formidable, wherever thought, felt, spoken, or written,—in the pulpit, in the court-room, by the wayside, or in our homes. They are the victors never to be vanquished." The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 185.

People who deeply appreciate Christian Science need not be agitated by the storms of skepticism that arise as the Christ-idea, proclaiming God's perfection and man's spiritual selfhood, becomes better understood. Because this Science is of God, it is forever upheld and maintained by God.
