In Revelation 21:5 we find this divine message: "Behold, I make all things new. . . . Write: for these words are true and faithful."
Spiritual regeneration—the "new birth" which takes place as one studies and practices Christian Science—has been and continues to be the most important thing in my life. This process began in earnest the day I entered a Christian Science Sunday School as a high-school sophomore; and the leaven of Truth in Christian Science has been making things new in my consciousness—and my experience—ever since. So I feel impelled to express, in deep gratitude, what has taken place with me.
I am thankful for several physical healings, including those of a growth on one eyelid and of severe burns. The first came through holding fast to the realization of the truth that error or evil is unreal and therefore has no power to attach itself to me (or anyone) as the man God made. The second resulted from perceiving that "perfect love casteth out fear: because fear [not man] hath torment" (I John 4:18). Victory over longstanding effects of a skiing accident came about in the following way.
