The transforming light

From the March 1988 issue of The Christian Science Journal

God's truth flashes before us,
and we are transformed—
more godly than before.

We are given
only what we can bear—
Moses saw a burning bush,
Paul was flooded with the light.

They were transformed,
more godly than before.

A moment, a glimpse, and in
as it were a twinkling of an eye,
all is changed, reality arrives:
the image and likeness of God,
recorded in our lives.
