Testimonies of Healing

From the May 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is difficult at times to say how grateful we really are, but it is time for me to do so. Like many Christian Scientist parents, I am most grateful for healings of our children. There are three of many healings that I would like especially to share. They relate directly to my own personal growth in Christian Science.

The first involved one of our sons, who, in his first year of elementary school, suffered periodically with dizziness. My husband was not a Scientist, and my own understanding and experience in Christian Science were very rudimentary. I agreed with my husband to have the child examined medically. After considerable testing I was becoming increasingly anxious over what the child was going through and whether this was best for our son.

When I was told that our son was experiencing small seizures, I went to a telephone and called the local Christian Science Reading Room. We were new to the area; I didn't know any local Christian Science practitioners. The woman who answered was most understanding and helpful.
