I have so much to be grateful for that I cannot put off writing a testimony any longer.
When my older son was about five years old, he became covered with insect bites during a short camping trip. Several days later his whole body became swollen. The sight terrified me. I was a lifelong Christian Scientist and had always relied on God for healing; but my husband was not a practicing Christian Scientist, and I raised the question of taking our son for medical examination. I will always be grateful to him for his answer. He said he valued the teachings of Christian Science and loved our son and wished to see our son raised in Christian Science. So he asked that I call a Christian Science practitioner.
I asked the practitioner to pray for our son and I prayed earnestly, too. I affirmed that God was this child's true Father and Mother and that his Father-Mother God loved him. I realized that God's child can never for an instant be separated from divine Love.
