I would like to express my sincere gratitude for a healing I had in Christian Science about four years ago. I had been wearing eyeglasses for many years, and had needed stronger ones as time went on.
My daughter and I studied the Christian Science Bible Lesson together every morning before she went to work. One Sunday when I was serving as Second Reader in my branch church, I read a verse in the book of John; these words stood out: 'And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see." When I read it I felt that this was the first time I really had been aware of these words.
I had prayed to see without the aid of glasses for so many years, without apparent success. When I went home from church that day, I picked up a magazine and found I could read it without the glasses. I read at home without my glasses all week, but when Sunday came I was tempted to fear that I would find I couldn't read without them during the church service. This went on for three weeks before I felt perfectly sure I could see clearly to read in church. I have read ever since without glasses and can discern the smallest of print.
