The Christian Science Journal

From the August 1993 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Most international organizations have both domestic and overseas offices, with representatives in different parts of the world. For The First Church of Christ, Scientist—The Mother Church—its representatives worldwide are all the individual church members who are living and practicing Christian healing today in some 146 countries. At the Church's Annual Meeting this year in Boston, Christian Scientists arrived from many of these countries to listen to reports from the officers of the Church and from the worldwide Field. They also considered the transforming, healing power of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

The impact of Science and Health on church activities and individual lives was unmistakable in this year's reports, which are reprinted in full in this issue of the Journal. We hope all readers will be able to capture the spirit of love that so many members brought to the 1993 Annual Meeting of The Mother Church.
