... was a talk given to the members of our church [a branch church in England]. The meeting was intended to help the members understand the church's place and purpose in our community and recognize the power of our prayers for the community in planning our next Christian Science lecture.
This was then followed by another members' meeting attended by the lecturer, who was working with us to prepare for the lecture.
These meetings provided enormous strength and encouragement for our church outreach throughout the following year. The ideas shared aroused us individually and collectively with a desire to serve the community more actively.
