I must offer my gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy for the Church she founded, and for all the loyal workers who have made possible the church organization, the Bible Lessons, the Christian Science magazines, and the outreach of shortwave radio broadcasts
When I became pregnant with my fourth child, I was just preparing to start a career. The other children were in school, and I'd just completed major commitments of service to my branch church. I was dismayed —talk about "human outlining!" I had rebelled at the idea of having another child. I did not, however, wish to have an abortion, although this was suggested to me.
Then our family was devastated when the baby was stillborn. I took a good long look at my motives and aims. A Christian Science practitioner emphasized that we do not make big mistakes. We learn big lessons. This proved to be very helpful in my experience.
