Freedom from fear when treating others

From the June 1994 issue of The Christian Science Journal

How wonderful to be asked to give Christian Science treatment to others! Students of Christian Science, when asked to pray specifically for another, can rejoice at the opportunity to glorify God through demonstrating His healing power.

But if we're being asked for the first time to pray for another, or sometimes even after we've had some experience doing this, what if we find fear trying to choke our earnest desire to heal? How can we be free from this fear?

In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy brings out the importance of dealing with one's own fears in these words: "To succeed in healing, you must conquer your own fears as well as those of your patients, and rise into higher and holier consciousness." Science and Health, p. 419.
