It's heartwarming to those working with the Publisher of the Writings of Mary Baker Eddy to see strictures on sharing Science and Health being broken through. The flow of reports from individuals and branch churches continues to grow. In addition to these efforts, departments at The Mother Church are doing some far-reaching neighbor-to-neighbor sharing, as documented in this report from the Clerk's Office.
Recently the Global Outreach and Healing Ministry Department in the Clerk's Office has been sharing copies of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy with areas of the world where there is no Committee on Publication or branch church activity. During the first six months of this project, over 3,700 copies of the textbook were sent to libraries in nearly one hundred countries. Each set of two hardcover copies goes with a message from the Clerk, which reads in part: "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy is a book that speaks to everyone. Mrs. Eddy dedicated it to 'honest seekers for Truth,' and all over the world people searching for spiritual answers and a deeper understanding of God have found strength, hope, and profound healing within its pages.... It is with the sincere desire to support the progress of your country, and with deep respect for the many thinking, searching, inquiring visitors who come to your library, that we send you this book."
