In this space in the August Journal, some of the challenges and opportunities facing Christian Scientists today were outlined in an article entitled "Why now?" It summarized the current challenges to religious freedom in the United States, and to spiritual healing in general and Christian Science practice in particular. It touched on some of the ways people are reaching out for the garment's hem of Christ, Truth. Included were two accounts of Christian Scientists who acted on opportunities to be genuine evangelists. In this issue we hear from a fellow Christian, a committed Episcopalian, who urges Christian Scientists "not to be shy about your faith, " because of the difference that this faith can mean to all who are seeking spiritual solutions and the courage to practice their own religious convictions.
