Putting on the undivided garment

From the January 1996 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Those who practice Christian Science conscientiously soon learn that God is the best and ultimately the only healer of all ills. Because they prove this conclusively for themselves, they do not feel the need to look for another healing agent, either for sickness or for any other situation.

The same power of God that heals sickness and disease is available to care for every need— whether in business or personal relationships or some other aspect of our lives. But the temptation is often to approach challenges by conventional means instead of turning exclusively to the power of divine Truth and Love.

Referring to the power of Christianity not only over sin, but over sickness and death as well, Mary Baker Eddy writes, "We must seek the undivided garment, the whole Christ, as our first proof of Christianity, for Christ, Truth, alone can furnish us with absolute evidence." Science and Health, p. 142.
