The more someone learns about and practices the Science of Christianity, the less he or she feels that life is merely of the earth. As people progress spiritually, they naturally trust in God—in Spirit—more, and matter less.
There come moments, however, when God and His spiritual creation are the only presence in one's mental landscape. At such times there is no dualism in one's thought, no mixture of a feeling of God's presence and at the same time concern with mortal, material conditions. Sensing spiritually the tangible realm of the divine Mind that is Love, and of its action, eclipses in individual thought anything unlike God that has ever seemed to be.
Those moments are wonderful, and they contrast sharply with some of those times that aren't so terrific. Once we've seen "the promised land," so to speak, it seems almost unjust to have to deal with the human will, disease, and lack that go along with mortal existence. Yet, overcoming lack, disease, and personal will is what proves the truth of scientific Christianity and makes it even more tangible.
