The importance of Christian Science class instruction

From the January 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

God's command to the Israelites when they were being pursued by Pharaoh and his army was to "go forward," Ex. 14:15. even though the way seemed impassably blocked by the Red Sea. This command is for all time —even today—for those desiring to progress in their understanding of God.

Mary Baker Eddy opened an important door for those who wish to go forward in their practice of Christian Science, by establishing Primary class instruction in this Science.

Mrs. Eddy knew from experience that clear and correct teaching is vital. Class instruction teaches, among other things, how and what to learn of God, man, truth, and error. It teaches the importance and validity of spiritual reason, revelation, and demonstration. It involves directly hearing and doing the Word of God.
