Poems

Reconciled

From the January 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Intransigence
erodes in the pathway of the Holy Ghost.
The strength of newly discovered hopes
is like the sweep of deft oars,
is like the flight of fresh prayers.
Where the mornings win,
purpose glows now with the face of trust,
and loyalty becomes the bride of praise. In disbeliefSee Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health 346:15-16 of sin,
the nation mends.
There is a plan:
God makes both us and our enemies
His friends,
and so fulfills the destiny of man.
