Campus CSOs: it's easy to be involved! (Part two)

(Part two)

From the October 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Last month the Christian Science Organization (CSO) Activities in the Office of the Clerk at The Mother Church shared answers to questions about forming CSOs on college campuses. We're pleased to offer a few more answers, showing how easy and joyous it is to be involved in this vital activity—even after graduation.

Only the officers of the CSO need to be members of The Mother Church, right?

Anyone interested in forming or conducting a CSO will want to study Article XXIII, Section 8, of the. Manual of The Mother Church. To be a member of the CSO one must be a member of The Mother Church, yet meetings are open to everyone on campus. Students, faculty, and instructors may want to ask themselves, "What are Mrs. Eddy's expectations for members of her Church? How can I fulfill those expectations at my university or college?" In the light of these questions, it's interesting to note that the title of the By-Law is "Privilege of Members."
