God knows the one who trusts in Him,
the one who hears, the one who sees Him.
"The Father hath not left me alone;
for I do always those things that please him." John 8:29.
The Master's words comfort me with sweet assurance.
God knows the one who holds to Him,
the one who follows, the one who tries.
"For what things soever [God] doeth,
these also doeth the Son likewise." John 5:19.
The Master's injunction encourages me to be more steadfast.
God knows the one who yearns for Him,
the one who praises Him in deep humility.
"And ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32.
The Master's promise helps me yield willingly.
I will love the Lord my God
with all my heart and mind and soul.
"Daughter, be of good comfort:
thy faith hath made thee whole." Luke 8:48.
At last I hear and feel the Master's healing benediction.
I go in peace.
