Infinite demands, infinite supply

From the June 1997 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Suppose that for the past several years a large sum of money had been on deposit in your name at a bank—but you didn't know about it. Also suppose that during that period you had experienced great poverty. Would your experience of lack be a result of an insufficiency of supply? Or ignorance of your wealth?

Once you found out about that wealth, what would you have to do to gain access to it? You'd have to make a demand on the bank for the funds —in other words, you'd have to write checks.

Christian Science holds that limitless spiritual resources are available to each one of us as children of God, who is Love itself. Divine Love supplies all the life, intelligence, and goodness that man ever needs. Science and Health declares, "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals." Science and Health, p. 13.
