Letters

From the March 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I have been studying Christian Science for about a year. When I discovered Mary Baker Eddy's writings, I felt that I had discovered profound spiritual truth after a long search. I can easily accept [the religion taught in]Christian Science, but I am having a harder time accepting Christian Science as a method of healing. This is probably because I make my living as a physician. However, I must say that a recent issue of The Christian Science Journal (with a health without drugs focus) really spoke to me, as I think it would to any health professional who read it, because the articles used a language with which we are familiar. I hope there are more such articles and testimonies waiting to be published in upcoming issues.

I am not a student of Christian Science, but an extremely interested reader of the Journal. I would like to express my pleasure in the review last year of the television program Touched by an Angel. It was on a page devoted to "Trends in Arts & Entertainment."
