Spiritual history
has no woman waiting
for birth,
no Saviour needing
to be recognized,
no hour unclaimed
by God.
It has no man bearing
hatred; no woman stopped
at a tomb identified
with God's Son.
God's nature is never forsaken—
His own reality
always expressed,
never concealed
by matter, by birth,
by death.
None of these things are calling out
"My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
Only God eternally proclaiming
"I AM
THAT I AM" and
"This is my beloved Son."
