Responses from shortwave radio listeners in Africa

From the January 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Every Saturday and Sunday, I am listening to The Herald of Christian Science.... May God Himself, who knows our hearts, help us to get rid of selfishness, hate, and other vices . . ., and to broadcast to humanity the message of harmony, truth, and love between brothers and sisters....I very much hope that your messages will reach the hearts of many young people who have difficulties taking control of their life because of a slight past mistake or other failure.

My mother asked me once why I always had my radio near me when I go to bed. I told her that if she wanted to know, she should just wake up at four o'clock in the morning. That is what she did, and now nearly all the family wakes up at four to listen to your program. This is why I am writing to you, to tell you the joy that it often brings us and to ask you to send us Science and Health.
