"We are finally being recognized as a part of our community!"

From the January 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

These Words Came from a longtime member of our branch church in Naperville, Illinois, as a result of response received from the public after we hosted the Traveling Historical Bible Exhibit from The Mother Church. This exhibit consists of several early Bible translations and photographs of first editions, including the King James Bible, Matthew's Bible, Coverdale Bible, and the Great Bible. The exhibit can be loaned out to branch churches and societies by the Church History Department

Our church had been praying about a way to share our love of the Bible with the community.

We remembered it was the Bible that Mary Baker Eddy turned to in her hour of greatest need and from which she found healing; it was the Bible that she searched in discovering Christian Science and in writing Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures; and it was the Bible that she would pray with in her founding of the Church of Christ, Scientist. So it seemed appropriate to host this exhibit.
