From the June 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We are pleased to announce the election of Paul D. Grimes, C.S.B., of St. Louis, Missouri, to serve as a member of The Christian Science Board of Directors. He takes the place of J. Anthony Periton, C.S.B., who has asked to return to his native England and to the full-time public practice and teaching of Christian Science.

Mr. Grimes has been in the public practice of Christian Science healing since 1971 and a Christian Science teacher since 1982. He has twice served as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and from 1978 to 1983 he was a Field Assistant for the former Department of Branches and Practitioners.

For many years he has been a member of Sixth Church of Christ, Scientist, St. Louis, where he has served in many posts, including First Reader, Sunday School teacher, and as a member of the Executive Board. His additional church experience includes Armed Services ministry, and work with Christian Science organizations at universities and colleges. His wife Jill is a Christian Science practitioner, who has advertised in the Journal since 1984.
