When I retired as chief technical officer of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in 1984, I kept monitoring radio stations as a hobby. One night early in 1990 I came across... the program The Herald of Christian Science in English. I listened to the healing messages from different people who have used Christian Science to achieve such healings. It struck me and I became a regular listener.
I then knew that these healings were achieved through the studying of the Holy Bible and the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.... By June 1991 I became a member of The Mother Church....
Ever since joining the branch church [in 1990] I have completely abstained from [medicine] in healing headaches [and] malaria fever, which was my common ailment prior to my becoming a Christian Science student.
