From the September 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

People turn to professional and scientific magazines for insight and self-improvement in subjects of interest to them. We see the Journal as making a similar contribution to those seeking ongoing spiritual education. For the Christian, such education centers around the knowledge of God and of Christ Jesus.

Several articles this month show how Christian Science contributes to the richness of Christian knowledge, giving us the specific understanding of God as the one infinite Mind, and of Jesus as the example of what living in harmony with divine Mind can accomplish. Our cover feature, for instance, reveals the possibility of unlimited creativity. Other articles illustrate how putting on "the mind of Christ, " even in a degree, results in physical healing, moral regeneration, and the lifting of fear and sorrow.

We hope this issue will encourage your continuing discovery of this Christian knowledge, which the Bible boldly describes as "life eternal."
