God Brought Me into the Science of the Christ through continual contact with students of Christian Science. When I was a baby and while growing up, our next-door neighbour was a student. And when I worked in the theatre with another student of Christian Science, my seeing her joyous demonstration and the kindness she expressed gave me something to dwell on when I was going through deep depression and a sense of loss. Her love of life gave me what was needed to lift the spirit and warm the heart.
Then when I married, I met another student of Christian Science, who really let the light shine very brightly through her. She shared the Science of the Christ freely, nurtured me, and brought me into church membership, where I served on many committees and as a Reader. So—three different students, all expressing the Christ in their individual ways, were shown to me as I grew. And when I deeply needed the Christ, it was there, and I was ready to accept it, notwithstanding a struggle.
Now I am a member of The Mother Church, of a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and am a classtaught student of Christian Science. I love the practice of Christian Science. Through prayer I have overcome depression, mental and emotional breakdown, sprains, and colds.
