Testimonies of Healing

Temptation to die rejected

From the February 2000 issue of The Christian Science Journal

When I Was Returning from a trip overseas, while awaiting the long flight ahead, I began to feel quite ill, even blacking out momentarily. My daughter, a Christian Science practitioner and my companion on the trip, immediately began praying for me. I, too, prayed to the best of my ability to accept God's omnipresence.

I was able to rest and sleep somewhat on the trip home, but my condition deteriorated. I experienced a loss of appetite, internal dysfunctioning, and painful, sleepless nights. Despite this, and because of our constant prayer, I managed to meet my daily obligations. After a couple of weeks, because I was concerned that I was burdening my daughter and our very close relationship, we agreed to a change of practitioner. How grateful I am for all our practitioners, who are ever prepared and willing to help!

One must awake to live and glorify God, who is Life.
