Just recently I had a wonderful healing of my hand. All of a sudden, one of my fingers began to be painful. There was no swelling or any apparent reason for this, but the pain was extreme. I called a Christian Science practitioner to help me in prayer. I was frightened, and needed to hear the truth about who I was, and that God never could or would give pain to His child. I don't remember what she said. But I thanked her and went on my way.
In the middle of the night, my hand and finger were stiff, and the finger was still painful. So I got up and began reading from Mary Baker Eddy's writings. Even though there was no immediate relief, I kept on trusting God to send me a message of truth. The next day, I called the practitioner again and told her I just needed to hear some truth. All she said was that God is God. I thanked her, and she said she would pray for me right away. Not three minutes later, I felt my fear go. When the practitioner said that God was God, that made an impression on me. Yes, I thought, God is God, and there is no other god. Wow. Just like that. It was very freeing. I knew in my heart that there is only one God. My hand and finger were free to move without pain. I was healed.
All she said was that God is God.
