For me, one of the most meaningful statements in Science and Health is this one: "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (p. 494).
I can still see fine print although I am quite senior.
At one time, in England, I needed a better job, as I had been able to get only temporary replacement work. One Sunday after returning from church, I read the Bible Lesson (found in the Christian Science Quarterly) again and prayed. I had not gotten very far when I had a telephone call from a relative of my sister's husband. This person asked me to write an application and resume and to leave it in the mailbox of a friend of a friend of theirs (whom I didn't know), in connection with a position where certain experience that I had could be used. (They weren't aware that I needed employment.) I did as asked, and on Monday I had a call to go for an interview. On Tuesday I began working at a very rewarding job, and at a better salary, helping care for people in need. I was so grateful for this proof of the Father's tender care and its blessings for all concerned.
