LETTERS

From the October 2003 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Thank you so much for the timely August Journal. This morning I was praying for my community in regard to the high crime rate. I went to get my mail, and there was the Journal with "What you can do about crime and terrorism" on the front cover. Perfect. Then I turned on the radio, and the program being aired was a talk show dealing specifically with the very high number of shootings, particularly among youth, and the seeming apathy in dealing with this situation.

These inner-city areas need prayerful support, and I am so grateful for the alertness of the staff at the Journal, and the writers for producing articles that help us pray more effectively and better support our communities.
