From the floor-to-ceiling windows of her 15th-floor, office-in-the-home apartment—the 26-story building was designed by modern master Mies van der Rohe—she looks out to the windy city where the John Hancock Tower soars up and Lake Michigan stretches out.After advertising as a Christian Science practitioner in the Journal for 15 years, Bea received a diploma in 1976 from the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, which authorized her to teach other people how to heal. She spent the 1980s in Boston, serving The Mother Church in numerous capacities, including as a member of the Board of Education and the Board of Trustees of the Christian Science Publishing Society; she also spoke and wrote about Christian Science as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship and as Associate Editor of The Christian Science Publishing Society's religious periodicals. Today, Bea is a frequent guest on Sentinel Radio and a contributing editor to the Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel.
