You May Have Noticed a change in the Journal's masthead this month. We're happy to announce that Senior Managing Editor Bill Dawley has been named Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science.
Bill brings to his new post a wealth of experience in the publications Mary Baker Eddy founded. His "Welcome" columns have regularly touched and inspired people—inviting them to discover the jewels of spirituality within the pages that follow.
Educated as a broadcast journalist, Bill began his career in the late 1960s as a host for the broadcast series "The Bible Speaks to You," produced by The Christian Science Publishing Society. Over the years, he's been a staff member of The Christian Science Monitor, newscaster for The World Service of The Christian Science Monitor, Assistant Manager of the Church History Department. In 1991, Bill joined the Christian Science periodicals as Features Editor, at which time he and I co-authored the Journal series "The Reforming Power of the Scriptures," published as a book in 1996. I'll continue working with him in my new role as Editor in Chief of the periodicals, part of my ongoing assignment as a member of The Christian Science Board of Directors.
