Christine Solomon was well-equipped to respond when we asked her to write the second article in our series on the Beatitudes, especially since she's in the middle of working on a book on the Bible. As always, Christine found the writing process a learning experience. "Making ideas come alive in words is as much revelation as it is hard work," she says. We think you'll like the result: "Less me, more God" (p. 14).

Talking about the Bible is nothing new for Dick Davenport, who wrote this month's Bible Forum article "Age revisited" (p. 10). After earning his Master of Divinity from Boston University's School of Theology, Dick served as an Air Force chaplain. His most recent endeavor has been founding Higher Ground—a network of educational resources and conferences that, among other things, encourages a greater understanding of the Bible. Dick lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

When Molly Richardson proposed a piece about her job-search prayer, we were quick to jump on it, especially since we'd already planned a section on answered prayer and its unpredictable (but always good) results. Little did Molly know that writing the piece would coincide with yet another job search. "I've loved reviewing the ideas I prayed with before and reminding myself that they're still true," she says. You can read more in "My way or the High way?" (p. 46).
